Tangling With Stencils

Brass stencils are perfect for creating Zentangle Inspired Art. In this class, we will use a cute elephant stencil for tracing and then fill all the sections in with tangles to create a wonderful design ready to frame or make into a greeting card. And the stencil is yours to keep!

And the fun continues: we will have a variety of stencils for you to use to create a second, colorful design: a fox, an owl, a fish, a whale and more!

Please Bring: Black Micron 01 pen, Micron 01 pen in a color of your choice, Soft Pencil, White Eraser

Presenting: Zentangle

A hand drawn Zentangle makes a wonderful gift. Make your presentation as special as your art.

Learn several fun ways to make a “gift wrap” for your Zentangles. You'll learn to make a folded envelope, an origami frame, a pop up card and a unique folio - all made from pretty papers.

(Please note: no Zentangles will be drawn during this class.)

Tangle Tuesday!!

Our monthly series continues!

Tangle Tuesday is a great way to add to your personal tangle library!

Each class will focus on classic tangling with an emphasis on a Zentangle technique or concept and will introduce several new tangles. Zentangle experience is recommended, but not required.

Recommended: Blank Tangle Cards, Black Micron 05 or 08 pen, detail eraser*

Botanical Field Journal

Learn this unique hand stitched binding technique to create a gorgeous field journal inspired by Graphic 45's Botanicabella collection.

These beautiful papers are only available through this collection pack and you will receive the entire pack as a part of the class - includes 24 papers, chipboard, and stickers.

The stitched binding is open and flexible, creating a sturdy, adaptable book suitable for keepsakes, sketching, or journaling. Finished book has 61 pages.

The journal will be embellished with metal, beads, natural materials, and gemstones!

In this class, you will be felting wool into colorful rocks that will be cut open to show the beautiful layers inside.

Coloring with Colored Pencils: Beyond Basics

Take your colored pencil technique to the next level with this follow-up class on our popular Introduction to Coloring with Colored Pencils class!

In this class, you will learn about and practice blending. You will also be introduced to advanced techniques like creating textures, shapes, and shadows with your pencils.

This class is open to anyone even if you haven't taken the introduction - but seats are very limited!

Class fee includes five colored pencils perfect for these techniques that are yours to keep!

Feel free to also bring any pencils you would like to work with.

Zentangle Apprentice: Ages 5-15

The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.

This class will provide a Zentangle apprentice with a background in the history of Zentangle, introduce them to the basics steps of the method, vocabulary and tools. Students will create Zentangle tiles and will leave with a clear understanding that, “Anything is possible one stroke at a time.”®

In addition to creating beautiful Zentangle tiles, Deb will introduce a sharing project entitled, “Start With Art.” Students will begin to discuss ways to connect with others by sharing their art. “Start With Art” is intended to be an ongoing project. Stitched Wool Owl

For this class, you'll get to choose from five different adorable owl designs. You will make one owl in class.

Foundations of Needle Felting 2: All About Structure

This is the second in our foundations of needle felting series. Once you know how to make basic shapes - how do you create the structure to allow more complex designs?

In this class, you will learn to make different types of inner structure to give your felt pieces flexibility and strength.

Armatures can take many forms from different kinds of wire to yarn.

We will be making simple doll structures using these techniques that you can finish and embellish at home.

You will get a kit full of different types of armature, as well as tools and accessories. All items in the kit are yours to keep!

Please Bring: Basic felting kit (felting foam pad, needle, handle) If you don't already have a basic kit - they will be available to buy at the class!

  • We encourage pre-payment for every class so that we are able to adequatley prepare and gather materials.

  • Some classes require pre-payment to reserve your spot.

  • If you cancel three business days prior to the class, we will issue either a refund or store credit whichever you prefer.

  • Classes cancelled with less than three business days notice will receive a store credit.

  • If you are cancelling with less than 24 hours notice - a refund is not possible. If the class lends itself to allowing a kit for the project - a kit will be provided.

  • If you are sick or there is an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible.
